Sunday March 18th:
Morning in El Yaque; sea breeze, birds soaring lazy circles out above the water, the palms offering singing locations for the many birds belting out their song, and the sun rising in a clear blue sky. Nice to wake up to! The breakfast looking out over the sea is a visual, and gastronomical fiesta for the senses, I just can’t believe I get to do this for two more weeks!! Life is so very good!
I did some computer play, and a
tiny bit of work, before prepping and venturing down to the beach. The wind had looked great from the El Yaque Club this morning, and it was so true once at the
The water was full of sailors, and I made my way out into the briny shallows to load up some of those mega pixels on to the silica. The action was awesome, and with a few local pros ripping some amazing stuff in front of me, it was a short time out to get the photos and video. See windsurf photos here.
(Please note: I messed up the date on the photo gallery images linked above, it shows as 031707 when it really is 031807. Please forgive the confusion, it may take awhile for me to get back and rename these. Just refer to these as the date 03-18-07, and then file name 031707_xxx if you want them emailed.)
The tide is still in, so the one foot deeper water makes for some poor focus and a bunch of lost shots, but I did manage to also get a couple decent videos of some tricks. See below:

I was stoked to get my ride on after the pho-tog session, and met up with Connie on her 69lt and 4.7M kit with my 5.2 and 85lt combo. This was fully on for the next 2.5 hrs, and I really had an awesome bunch of jumps and jibes!! Connie even managed a few chop hops and quite a few jibes both inside and out. All in all, another fun filled afternoon sailing fest!! Time to get back and chill!!
The shower and change felt good, and I ambled back to mi casa for some emails and a bit of computer work. I ended up doing an impromptu slide show while hauling around the laptop from the beach, and soon missed the happy hour! Not a problem really, but always fun to sit and socialize on the beach. I had my own fun with the many viewers of the slide show in the reception of the El Yaque Club.
Connie came home, and had made the plan with the happy hour crowd for Mobu for dinner. We got ready quick, but could not get there in time to get a table. Popular place! So we changed our minds, and met Lorenzo, Michael, Claudia, and David at the Da Enrico restaurant across the street from Vela. We sat and feasted on pizza, pasta, and salads for the evening, and enjoyed the great service and tasty food. So nice to share the fun with friends! Good stories and another fun night!
The meal completed in record time, and we were done before 9pm!! An early night for a change is always welcome, after a great day of sailing! Off to get horizontal..
