Tuesday March 13th:
Morning brings a new day, and the slow start to another fun day in paradise. I have some cereal, and juice, and spend some time in the hammock looking over the days wind forcast with the seabirds and pelicans soaring overhead. Looks like wind today!!
I am a bit slow to start the day, and make the most of the hammock, and the bed for a nap before noon. After a quick shower, and some computer play, it’s off to the beach to join Connie already in progress.
The wind is back, and it’s in the 4’s and 5’s again! I was suited up and in the water for another round of surf shots. Very fun session as a bunch of folks were working it for the camera! Caught some nice stuff, see the windsurf photos here.
The GPS trials were on for the next couple days, and folks were out trying for their fastest runs on the water. Always interesting to see how fast you can go!! I might have to try that again today or tomorrow. Doesn’t seem fair to the others, as I am purty darn fast, what with the height and weight I can put out there! Ok, now I spose I’ll have to prove it!!
As it was getting late, I opted for a jump session with a 5.9M and the 102Lt board, and made the most of it! So styling to see Lorenzo coming in, and a ramp just before him to pop a ‘show me your JP’ air ride just downwind of him! Love that shouted out feedback! Just love to jump, but it’s 10 times as much fun if someone else sees it, and 100 times as fun if they acknowledge it with a shout of approval! Thanks Lorenzo!! Made my ride!
The wind tapered off into the happy hour, so it was off to the beach for a shower and to get ready for a dinner in Porlamar tonight. Connie and I did a very short happy hour, and then off to home to get ready.
Tom and Kathy picked us up, and
The place was on the water, and the view must be amazing in the daylight. We sat for a fine meal of lobster, fish, chicken, and happy stomachs all around, discussing the fun we have shared together. Great friends, good food, and some music thrown in to round out an awesome dinner in town! Thanks ALL!
We returned to El Yaque before 11, and tired from the day, and content from dinner, it was time to sleep. Buenas Noches.
