Wednesday March 7th

I got up and opened the windows again for some more of the morning birds and the sea breeze, life is good!  Love to hear the sounds of the palms, and the sweet chirping o the birds in them.

I made Breakfast and then on to the Vela Center.  I met Nora at her corner spot, and did the usual social discussion for the day.  Love my friends here in town!  Then it was on to the center and the social activities there.

I was only stopping by with the CD, and returned to the condo to take care of some work via email and phone.  I worked so late, it was after 3pm when I got down to the center, and decided the afternoon sun was too far gone to get decent photos, so I just went sailing instead!!

The wind was full on for the afternoon, and I got out with a 5.2M sail and the little 85lt board.  This is some really small stuff for the big 230# hulk I am!!  I was perfectly dialed in on this kit, and made the most of the ride, just ripping it up!!  Plenty of chase back and forth, love to race with friends!  I sailed right up to closing, and came off the water at 5:10pm, a full afternoon session!!

It was time for happy hour, and Wicho and Alex had a bunch of client leftovers to share, so I sat with them drinking beer, eating chips, and discussing the options for a nite in Porlamar.  We got started on some Vodka, and we were soon very happy indeed!  Such a blast sharing the fun with local friends!  See photos here.

We met up with Rodger, and decided on chicken for dinner, next to Fureza Six, as they were closed.  This was a tasty meal, and the friends kept the night very fun!  We finished the meal, and went off to home to sleep it off.  A bit stumbly on the walk home, but a fun night!

Hasta Maņana,
