Saturday Feb 17th

To all concerned, I made it down with no problems.  I was fortunate to meet a nice couple from the Gorge at the Aeropostal MIA check-in, Holly and Tom Wood.  (Kite folks judging by the golf bag sized board bag.)  After some check-in advice, and some chat I found quick friends with them. Since he was also a former windsurfer, I figured I could tolerate another ‘dangler’ as a friend. J  Good chat and felt like we made friends quick.  We shared the baggage and check-thru cart, and then some Polar beers right until boarding!! Very nice timing, SWEET when thinks work so smooth!

After the long day of travel, I was ready to get back to my ‘apartment’, and settle in.  I said goodbye to Tom and Holly, as Steve and Tom were peering and joking thru the security glass, as I waited for my bags.  So cool to have great friends to pick me up from the airport, and they brought beer!!

We had a nice Polar run back to El Yaque!  So cool to be riding shotgun, and getting handed cold beers the whole ride back to my home away from home!  As we pulled up to the familiar entrance of El Yaque, I could not help but notice what a difference from last year for the town!!  The lil’ El Yaque is looking a bit more trimmed and pretty then ever!!  Lots of new sidewalks, greenery, street lights, new paint, new pavement, like a new town!!  And this is while it’s dark!  I can’t wait to see it in the light!!  I will do a photo shoot so those that can’t make it can see.

We shared a few more beers, and Steve was off to his family, while I dumped off some Turkey Jerky and other fun e-toys for Tom.  We chatted for a couple beers more, while I found the Room WiFi network to be perfect, no problem using Outlook for send and receive!!  Nice to be using the same tools as the home office!!  Already working with Jerry, my hands back in MN, and getting some actual work done!  I can deal with an office like this!!

Tom went home, and I got busy unpacking and trying to use all the storage space available in the 1BR apartment in the sky!!  I had to take a few snaps upon arrival, so you could see what it looks like in here.  Such a lap of luxury!!  See photos here.   Even got some shots the next morning in there, with some sunlight, very sweet pad!

All settled in and it was off to bed  for more in the morning!

Speaking of which, after a long morning of grocery shopping and touring the rooftop pool and bar area, I am late to work at Vela!  Not a good way to start the work season!!  So I better wrap it up, and get to the beach!!

Ciao!
