Hola mis amigos! Time for more web fun of this year’s vacation! This year I have a new 8Mpix waterproof digital camera, and have been lucky enough to be granted access to the Vela center for near-daily photo sessions of all the windsurf fun on the water!

I have engineered a new camera fog-proofing system which eliminates the fogging problem I have always had after a few ‘splash-downs’ while taking shots. I vacuum out the ambient air from the waterproof case and camera, and then purge with desiccated air. This is proving very effective on the water! I have eliminated the out of focus shots by keeping the fogging out of the way! No more ruined Fog-shots! Now any messed up shots are due to the photographer only! (Guess I can’t hide behind the technical failures anymore!) Of course now it is even harder to edit the 500+ photos from a typical session!

The free web photo format will remain at 800 x 600, as it will only be manageable if I keep it to this smaller size. (Don’t worry; I will keep all of the originals at full size in case folks want ‘em.) If you see a photo you want, and you are here in El Yaque, let me know before you leave and I can give you the original full size images from the day(s) in question on a CD, (only $25 US, el pricio soladario). If you have left, and want some shots from the site, email me, and I will be able to send you the full res. files or a CD, once I return stateside. (Same price.)

This year I am also offering local postcard color photos of any shot you may want, so you can have something to send home showing your skills on the water! These will be $10 US each, $15 for two and $20 for three. These are Cannon photo prints, and are water insoluble, so a lot like a regular Kodak print, very nice quality! Nice to have a physical print to show others, w/out the need for a computer! And as a postcard, you can mail them home to make your friends envious!
