Wednesday April 5th
Today begins as so many have, with a steady morning breeze and the promise of a strong wind this afternoon!
I finished the refueling and made the usual pass over to the Wind Guru, for some internet posting, and CD burns for a few departing friends. Always the hard part about getting to know and sail with so many great people, the sad goodbye! I buried myself in work for a couple hours, and then after grieving for the friends that had to return home, and the lack of their great company, it was time to get out on the water and capture the friends still playing in their honor!
The bay was almost vacant! So many out on the last Canadian charter, and so few here now, it’s like our own private surf zone! Takes a bit longer to snap off the 1gb memory card, but the remaining players did their best, and I was back for my own gear in about an hour. Plenty of great snaps to post! See them here.
The wind was stronger today, and I
took an 85lt with a 5.9M sail for a full on afternoon of shredding! What a
great afternoon! The wind was very
steady, and slowly built up thru the early afternoon, and I finally had to come
back in at
A fun time as we told jokes, drank, and shared many a story back and forth! Another awesome early evening with sail friends! I love the windsurf family! We finished with plans for Atti for Gerry’s last night, and off to get ready.
The food was awesome as always, and we were one of the few groups in the place! (To those that left: Thanks for going home and leaving us here to benefit from the fast service that comes from so few folks here!) Another great end to another day in paradise! This polar is for you back home! (Klink!)
Hasta Friday
