Tuesday March 28th
Another fresh start of breeze in the morning, and it looks like the standard Margi winds are back on to the normal schedule.
Another fun breakfast with friends, and I even got to cook some of my own eggs at the apartment we are in at Casa Rita. I cooked up a dozen eggs, and spread the feast around the tables, some scrambles eggs, ham and cheese, humm humm good!
I headed straight to the center, and bypassed the internet café, as it was the last day for a few friends, and I wanted to get as many snaps as possible. It was also birthday day for Kathy, and we had some plans for a surprise dinner that evening, and needed to prep the decorations and such.
I got out on the water, and captured the action as folks were on 4’s and 5’s already in the early afternoon! See the photos here! Good photo session, and then it was my turn to play!
The board; 84lt JP, the sail: 5.2M and the conditions: awesome!! I feasted on many sweet fat ramps, and breathed in the air time, as I danced from swell to swell! A great session!
Happy hour was short as Tom had a
big party planned for the evening in Kathy’s honor! We all soon showed up at the terrace for some
great mingling between some 50 plus long term and repeat Vela clients, and the
surprise was just that for Kathy! Such a
healthy turnout of the Vela family for our favorite Vela manager! (Sorry
Tom!) Quite the party! See the photos here. We all had a blast, and some of us even went
back to the Rita and our apartment, to play name the Ipod
tune, and drink beer! We finally shut it
down at
