Friday March 24th

Another great day begins here in El Yaque, the breeze in the palms and the sound of the leaves rustle me awake.  Looks good for the wind today!

Connie and I got to the breakfast and joined the many friends over coffee fruit and other goodies, as we shared some chat and surf discussion of the past days.  Another awesome start to the day in Margarita.

We went down to the Wind Guru Internet café for a cup of java and some email and postings.  So nice to have the air conditioned work space!  Also nice to have a decent connection speed!

Connie went to the beach, and I finished up and joined her at the playa.  The wind was doing it’s best for the happy sailors, and I saw it was time to get out for some snaps.  Many a willing windsurfer posed for the cam, and I managed to fill the 1gb memory card in less than an hour.  Some nice shots; (See the photos here.)

The wind was still going strong on the outside, but I was just a bit tired, and didn’t get out to sail, although I could have with a 5.9 or 6.4M, instead I spent the last couple hours of the afternoon socializing, and just relaxing for a change.

The Thai night at the terrace of the beach hotel was tonight, and folks signed up for another night of great food and fun!  It was a full table of Vela clients for another feast of tuna salad, chicken, and beef!  We ate our fill, and had many a rum drink to boot!  I did overdo it a bit, and lost most of the memory after getting up from the table!  Way too much rum for this camper!  The walk to Gabby’s was very wayward, and somehow I scraped myself up on my elbow and leg.  No more rum for this guy!

We finished the night by 2 am, and off to bed.  Manana!

Hasta!
