Thursday March 23rd
The day began with a very strong breeze in the morning as the sun came up. It looks like it will be windy today again! I can’t wait!
The feast at breakfast is again delightful, and the day is even better, knowing my wife Connie will be here this afternoon! Always nice to share the fun with her!
As I felt the wind calling, I blew
right by the internet café, and straight to the beach office. I could see the sailors were on the 5’s and 6’s
already, and it was looking exactly like the usual Margarita windy
weather! Not a cloud in the sky, steady
wind, and the guests were out rippin it up already by
I had some leftover Mobu Pizza for lunch, and it was so tasty w/ the hot sauce! I tried to offer some to Alex, but too hot for him! After the full belly, I was ready to step into the deep for more life threatening photo snap action! (I dig this stuff!)
The traffic was heavy, and the wind was fully on, ready for all to ride! Plenty of great action! (See the photos here.)
My turn! A 91lt and the 5.7M for a 220lber is small stuff! I was totally stoked with the return of the standard Margi winds, and rode the sailing machine hard and fast! What a blast! Chased the Steve of Speed for awhile, and could keep up, but not beat him today! I even witnessed some HUGE FAT AIR the man ripped off the sweetest ramps on the outside! Looked so good, I just had to match that, and popped some nice mast high floaters myself! Man I dig that Sh*t! To fly is the best rush in life! And we made sure to get all we could, all afternoon!
The late afternoon was nearing, and Steve offered me his private high performance stick, the old Protech Master Blaster!! Wow does that thing go fast! Not a soul can catch you on it, and the 80lts just loves to sky big fat air! I rode the rest of the day, squeezing out the most rides and jumps I could from the day! What a great session! I think the longest and best yet this trip!
I came in to the center with my sail, and felt a sharp tug on my harness from behind, to turn and see Connie was here! Alright! A super session, and here’s my gal at the beach to greet me! Life is good!
We shared the happy hour, and a few Kapirinias, before making the supper plans at ATTI. We spend the evening together, eating the awesome meal at the terrace overlooking El Yaque. A very nice meal, and companionship, before we were too tired for anything else, and it was off to dream of the rides for Friday.
Hasta!
