Friday March 17th

The morning was beautiful again, the birds singing and soaring about, and the breeze looked good for another day of fun!

Breakfast with the new grill is a big hit!  Hot grilled sandwiches, and can even fry the softer bacon on it! (I like my bacon super crispy!)  Very nice spread, the guests had their fill, as we chatted the morning by, sipping the fresh coffee and juice.

I did the typical beach prep, and then a stop for the postings at the Wind Guru Café.  The place was busy with folks on the tables and PC’s, and the espresso machine was in full play.  I had my now usual café con leche, grande, and the awesome ham, turkey, and cheese sandwich while I uploaded the photos of the previous day.  (I even snapped a shot of the sub makin table and the espresso machine, so you can see my main lunch food source!)

I finished the laptop work, and made for the Vela office, and the beach.  The wind was blowing, but lighter than usual, still enough to get out and plane.  The folks were on 5’s and 6’s, with a few 7’s mixed in for the morning session.  I made plans for another photo session for the early afternoon, as I had a massage at 4:45.  I got out in the shallows of the bay here for some more snaps of the fun!

The happy sailors posed and showed their best for the cam, and I snapped them up!            (See the photos here.)   Plenty of folks hamming it up, and I had a very fun time interacting with all!  Even got Lynn to almost run me over in all the excitement!  See if you can tell which photos are just before I dove under water!  His board nose is the only thing that came close, and I slipped clean of his path at the last possible moment, but from shore it musta looked pretty wild, as detailed from the comments of those on shore that were wondering if I was ok!  Lynn and I had a good laugh, and I finished the session unharmed!

It was now rather late to sail, and still get to the massage, so I decided to forgo the 6.9M and a 122lt that would have been required for me, and instead went back up the hill to get cleaned up for the massage.

Belkis is an amazing masseuse!  She applied the pressure to all the right points and I felt almost half the pain of the last massage!  The work she had done earlier last week had loosened the sore muscles, and this time I was soon a drooling, sleeping client zonked on the table!  She had to wake me up to get me to turn over!  Soo damm good!  I will be back for more!

After the refreashment of the muscles lossened and relaxed, it was time to finish happy hour, and then to join the fun Vela clients for Pasta night at the Terrace restaurant!  The pasta carbs were well received, and the folks had a great evening of drinks, food, and chat!  What an awesome meal!  The chicken cacciatore from Gerry’s family recipe was soo good!  I stuffed myself before the lasagna came out!   Might good eats!

The meal done, it was time to head down to Gabby’s to check out the scene.  The place was just getting started at 10:30, and we soon split up to go to bed, and get rested for the continued fun for Saturday.
