Wednesday March 15th

The morning brought the typical haze and already strong wind!  IT’s Back!  Looks like rides today!

With the new day, and the wind, the breakfast came back to normal!  What a great spread today!  Plenty of eggs, fruit, and all the usual tasty treats!  I was worried, as the typical awesome setup here was faltering a bit during the transition, it looks like it has been fixed, and it’s back up to the top!

Since I had so little to post, as no photos yesterday, I went straight to the beach.  The Vela center was a bustle with ravenous sailors devouring the wind with the boards and sails!  You would think they haven’t been sailing for a couple days!  The feast or famine deal!

I saw the channel in front of Vela was filled with upright sailors, rippin it up!  Time for an early photo shoot, to make way for a long afternoon sailing session for myself!  The spectacle on the water was a sight to be seen!  Plenty of hungry photo subjects, and a fair share of good show-offs!  What a great time snapping and hooting and hollering!  Plenty of  shots in an hour to fill the memory!  MY TURN!  (See the photos here.)  (Sorry for the mislabeled photo dates, they say the 14th, but really are the 15th.)

I took off with a 5.9M and a 102Lt, small stuff for a 220lber!  The wind was not as steady as normal for Margarita, but plenty good enough for jumpin!  I had such a great session!  Sailing with Steve, Lorenzo, Carl, Mary, Reggie, and so many more!  The jump fest on the way out was repeated with every, and anyone I could find to share and be the witness to how big the air really is!  Copious amounts of shouts and hollering between all, approving of the moves!  What a frickin blast!!

I had meant to come in, but helped a guy with a broken uni, and then just had to rip it up for another hour!  I finally came back in around 4:30, and hung up the suit to dry for the day!  I think the longest and best session yet!  Time for happy hour!

The friends gathered around the tables at the Beach Hotel Beach bar, and shared the fun and some of the frustration of a days sailing together over beers and Kaparinias!  What a great end to the day, hearing the stories of fantastic rides, jumps, jibes, and just general good fun!

Gotta love it!  Soon we made plans for supper at the Wind Guru Café, 1/2lb hamburgers tonight again!  Some tasty treats for the developing muscles.

The spread was so amazing!  The feasting was like no other!  These are some big burgers!  The buns and meat fill a plate!  With all the fixins, it was simply the best!  I again was stuffed on one!  With a cold beer and some chips, can’t ask for more!  OK, I did have to have one of the tasty desserts as well!  Very good chocolate pudding/cake!  What an end to the best meal!

We all had or fill, and for such a low price of 15000 b’s!  like $7!  Very good deal, and some super hungry folks even had two!  It was then that the fullness and the super long sailing session of the day was upon us, and the crowd dispersed to go to bed.  Looks good for more of the same tomorrow!  See ya then….

Hasta Luego!
