Friday March 10^th

The morning brought another short sprinkle, and it looked like it might be light again today. I asked the birds soaring overhead for some sign of wind, and they said the afternoon would have some, but Saturday would be even better.

Down at breakfast, I shared a table with Russ and Jen, and we were joined by many more, for another great start to the day! The breakfast is so awesome here! Love every one, and just can’t say enough about the selection of flavors available each morning. I do love it!

We discussed the past days fun, and made plans for more at the beach today. Always nice to chat with friends each day, and share the fun of a vacation here!

I made the usual stop at the Wind Guru café for my daily postings and the awesome coffee! I love to work in the nice air conditioned café, listening to salsa and munching on a huge sandwich for lunch! Great stuff!

The uploads complete, I got down to Vela, and did some more photo work, before grabbing the camera, and wading out to snap some folks having more than a fair share of fun! Not the usual 4’s and 5’s for the afternoon, but still enough to sail, and the 5’s, 6’s and 7’s were out getting wet. Of course there’s never any wind next to the camera man! Sorry for creating the black hole people! Still the fun was spread about and the proof is in the pic’s! (See the photos here.)

I got done rather late, and didn’t feel like going out at 4:30 with a 7 or 8m sail, and instead did some office play on the laptop, transferring the photos to the computer. Even sold a few photos and CD’s! Gotta like the income while on vacation! Of course, I tend to spend it faster than it comes in!!

We all got to the tables at Jerry’s bar for happy hour and freely consumed the required beers and Kaparinas for those unable to attend back home! Good friends, cold drinks, and plenty of happy campers!

It was the Vela BBQ night at the Wind Guru tonight, and we all went home to get ready for the party! And what a party! Although the turnout was a bit small, we managed to have about as much fun as is humanly possible! All the chicken, beef, and sausages you could eat! The beer and cuba libre’s were a good start, and soon we found a bottle of tequila and a bottle of vodka on the table! We managed to finish both of these off between us all, and this put the party in overdrive!

The music jammed and we did some serious dancing! What a great night out! And the photos prove it! (See the photos here.) Plenty of fun had by all in attendance, best party so far!

We each managed the walk home, and off to sleep, to continue the fun tomorrow!
