Sunday March 5th
A slow start to the day, the wind is a bit light. I was super sore from the knee damage the previous day, and really needed a day of rest anyway.
Breakfast was just wonderful again! Really dig the hot chocolate in my coffee! Mochas for breakfast every day! Plenty of fun Canadian friends to share stories of the past few days as we slowly devoured our breakfast. Another good start for the day!
I slowly made my way down the hill to the beach. The wind had been light all morning, and was continuing the trend. (Lotsa big sails out there!) I took the day off for photos, and instead spent the day fooling around in the office, and then felt the need to limber up the tight knee, so I got out the hacky sack, and the guys joined me for a late afternoon hack fest! Great time, and the knee held up nicely! Felt awesome to stretch out the bod, and help with the healing!
After a
sweaty session of play, I cleaned up, and it was time for happy hour! Even tho most folks
had been out on the big stuff, they all seemed happy with the day, and the beer
was soon flowing freely. We chatted for
a hour or more, and Gabby stopped by with some coupons for the BBQ
tonight. The folks from
The walk over got our appetites stoked, and soon we were feasting on a couple huge plates of Super-Mega-Nachos! Excellent again this year! Best Mexican food in town! We had fish, BBQ, and of course, homemade apple pie and ice cream! Since there was only one piece of pie, we had to share, but it was still the perfect end to a great meal.
We split up, and I hung around the bar to check out the pool, and the big screen Miguel had installed. Very good idea! Loved the local DVD some of the pros had made of all the local pro-windsurfers! The tricks they can do are simply mind blowing! The entire place was watching the video! It was a fun hour or so hanging out, before I had enough beer, and made my way home. More tomorrow!
Ciao!
Timo
PS: There is no link to the photos for today, as I didn’t take any. I do plan to post some of the camera anti-fog system, and will post them here or on any other non-photo days.
