Thursday April 14
What a super morning! After a couple days off from the fever, I am now back to full on! The breakfasts are always so nice, and today was no exception! Plenty of my favorite eggs and the usual spread of fruit, ham, cheese and breads! Connie and I felt like it was our private balcony! It is so nice to relax after the meal with a couple cups of coffee, as we look over the tropical gardens here. Gonna be hard to leave it!
Connie and I moseyed down to the center rather
early, before 11! The skies were clear

Folks were on the 5’s or smaller by the time I came in to ride my own selection of the Protec 287 Master Blaster w/ a 5.0M! Plenty of power out there! Connie sailed a 77Ltr/5.0 combo earlier in the afternoon and then the 69 Ltr/4.2 while I was out there. She followed me around on the outside swell-really sweet today, nice mogul field of 3-4 ft swells, with steep smooth faces! Gerry and Brian from Canada were out there with us too-in Alberta territory. Everyone was jumping and having a great time! Some major air for all!
After a full afternoon of riding, Connie, then I after a couple more runs, called it quits, and came ashore. After some clean-up, it was happy hour again! We joined the crowd of surf friends; Carson, Carina, Gerry, Brian, Connie and I, and snacked on Pringles chips and Coco-Loco’s! Another fantastic après surf session! So much fun sharing the day’s enjoyment with other sailors! Kathy even joined us for a couple drinks, while waiting for her dinner, very fun happy hour!
We had made plans for dinner at Atti restaurant, but I heard Tom might be interested in the casino tonight! I gave him a call, and we met at the Hilton Casino in Porlamar for a night of fun! Connie and friends continued on with out me, and feasted on the favorite steaks at the Atti terrace on top the hill.
Tom and I had some great fun
depositing our funds into the casino blackjack table! Very fun time, even though I lost all I came
to play with! We were doing quite well,
but failed to stop there, and depleted the funds by
