Saturday April 9

Plenty of beautiful environment to enjoy as the day starts here in El Yaque!  The same as every other day here!  I again did a bit of hammock relaxation, and then joined in for another perfect breakfast!  Coffee sipping as you stare at the clear blue skies!

Soon it was time to get down to the beach and start another day of surf bliss!  I made it down somewhat early, just before noon, with Connie along with.  I again had some fun in the computer/web world, posting the daily report/journal, and then it was time to catch some of the fun out there in the flash memory card!  I noted that Connie started with a 5.0M/84l then a 77l by the time I got out to take some shots.  Plenty of power for all to handle, and the shots were many, and good!  See surf photo gallery here.

After another fantastic poto session it was time for a surf session!  Connie was now on the 4.7M/77lt combo, and I opted for a 84lt/5.0M for my ride.  It was a honkin again!  So perfectly powered for the entire afternoon, and some awesome jumps and jibes!  Lots of new friends to share the stoke, and plenty of hoots and hollers between each other as we jumped about!  Super fun time!  Just love it!

After 5 or so, it was time to call it quits, and I came ashore to drip dry and then get wet with some drinks!  Many a polar and drink later, it was time to get ready for a night in Porlamar with Wicho and Roxy!  We had plans for some dancing at Kami beach, with a visit to the mall, and some street cruising.

We met at Casa Rita, and Wicho again drove Connie, Roxy, Marybell, and myself off to the big town!  Some great fun people watching at the mall, and then followed by a Subway sandwich in the food court.  This was then followed by ice cream for dessert!  Humm! Tasty!

We strolled out to the car, and then over to the batting cages near the mall for some swings at a few balls.  We each got a chance to be ‘at bat’ and smacked a few balls about.  We then cruised the main drag for a while, waiting for Kami beach to open at 11pm.  We arrived just before then, and soon had our own hammock to ride in as we watched the folks pour into the place, sipping our libations!  Soon the music was pounding out a great dance beat, and the floor was filled with locals and tourists alike, all dancing their hearts out!  We even got to see the ‘Fire Dancers’ perform their tricks with flaming brands a twirling!  Good fun had by all!   See Kami Beach photo gallery here.

After a great day and night of fun, we called it quits about 2:30AM, and headed home to sleep and make ready for Sunday.
