Monday April 4

We joined the usual crowd for some breakfast on the Casa Rita terrace again.  Such a nice way to start the day!  Plenty of fresh food and some awesome coffee to get the day started right!  It was hazy and breezy again this morning, so a promise of a good day of sailing!

As I was typing the days report, I got a call on my standing order for a massage from Bernie!  Sweet!  A massage at 4PM today!  Always look forward to that!  So nice to be able to have access to the magic hands of Mary Bell!

Connie headed down early, and staked a claim to a section of sand under the palms, while I finished up some of the flash animation for the site.  Some fun toys in the Adobe Suite of software!  I soon finished this and made it down to the center to finish up at the office.  We had a replacement for Tom, while he and Kathy are in Miami, he seems to be very capable, and keeps a close eye on the equipment!  He is doing such a good job, might be some tough competition for Tom when he gets back!  See photo below:

I could see it was already blowing by noon, and made plans for some more photos today.  With the wind a honkin, I had plenty of sailors to perform for the camera!  I had soon filled the card, and captured the usual 300+ pics of the fun to be had!  See them here.

I then got out on a 91lt JP, with a 5.0M sail!  It was stinkin windy!  I rode a short session, and managed to really make my arms sore!  Plenty of jumps and speed rides!  All in preparation of the afternoon massage.  Connie had ridden a 5.0M w/ the 84lt, then a 4.7M w/ the 77lt, followed by the afternoon session on a 4.2M and the 77lt, and finally a 3.7M with the same board!  It was the standard building wind day, and many a sailor was fully tweaked after session upon session of smaller and smaller equipment!  Gotta love the selection!

My jump arm (right) was so sore after my jump session, I needed some Advil and the massage to return to a pain free state!  If it was not for MaryBell, I would prolly still be hurtin!  Thank you Marybell!  I think I could use a massage every afternoon!  Feels so much better!

We gathered again around the beach chairs for another après surf happy hour, and we were all quite happy!  Plenty of laughter and chat, over the drinks and chips, all with the staff from Vela showing off on the water in front of us!  We became the cheering section, and urged them all on with our shouts and applause!  Alex was impressive with the tricks as was Douglas!  Good show!

The plans were made for the Margarita winds for dinner, and we joined a batch of friends for some tasty eats and good conversation.  We ate our fill, and made for Gabby’s for a final beer or two, and to meet up with the rest of the crowd.

Another great evening listening to music, talking, and sharing the days events, and past surf stories!  Plenty of fun for all, and even managed a few snaps of the fun!  Another great day, time for bed!
