Tuesday March 29

What a great nights sleep.  I woke refreshed and ready to go!  After some early morning web stuff, playing with photos, I was ready for breakfast.  I met Mark at a table and we enjoyed the company and some tasty food together, as we made our plans for the day of sailing.  Nice beginning to another perfect day in paradise!

A bit breezy this morning, looks like a 5 something day!  The birds are fully planning on the smooth upper air wind, so it looks like some nice rides this afternoon for me!  I can hardly wait!  I pack up the stuff, and stroll on down to the center, to check out the action!

As I arrive, Tom and Kathy are there with hotdogs for the Vela crew!  Some major feasting by the staff on some succulent turkey dogs!  I even managed to steal one!  Kathy makes some awesome dogs and fixin’s!

I played in the computer world for awhile, and created a sign to let people know when I was planning to take photos today.  Lotsa folks leaving tomorrow, and I wanted to snap some more of them!

I waded out to join the throng of Vela sailors mingled with the occasional local or other nearby sailor.  I had many a surf-person to shoot, and did my best to capture all within the limited 2X zoom of my S200 Camera!  So many amazing moves and plenty of willing models to execute them!  I soon filled the memory, and had to come in!  Too bad, as there was so much action, almost wish I had more than 128mb of flash memory!  See the photo gallery here.

All were sailing 4’s and 5’s, and I opted for a 98 lt and the 5.7M sail.  Very good wind, solid and filled in all afternoon!  I sailed the same stuff for two sessions, 1.5hrs and then another 45 minutes after some arm rubbing and water!  Some amazing air-rides, and I skyed off so many sweet fat faces ramps, it was ridiculous!  I really torqued the body to the extreme, as I had an appointment with MaryBell, the masseuse at 5pm!  I was really ready for the table once the last session was complete!

Mary Bell worked the magic, and loosened all the tight spots up just right!  I was almost asleep when she finished, and slowly rose to get in a shower at the room before supper.  What a life!  Work the body with the surfing all day, and then relax with a massage before the evening of feasting and some dancing to the live band at Gabby’s!  Life is sweet!

We gathered the Vela clients together, and made for supper at Gerry’s beach bar!  Some excellent candlelight supper with some 8 people, all talking and laughing the night away!  The power even went out for a few minutes, and we didn’t even care!  So fun just sharing some drinks over the candles with some amazing stars above!  Could not ask for a better restaurant scene!  We soon were all fed, and made plans for Gabby’s!

Live band tonight, and the place was jamming!  Some great friends to share the amazing life we lead here in El Yaque!  I even got out to the dance floor for some dancing with the local gal Marla!  Great time!  I got all sweaty and cooled off in the constant breeze on the street, before saying my goodbyes, and heading off to bed.  Another perfect day in paradise!
