Thursday March 24

After a good nights sleep, I am up with the birds, to begin another day of fun!  Some slow island speed ambling about el cuarto, I am building my appetite for some of the eggs and ham out on the breakfast buffet!  I grab my habenero sauce, and make for breakfast!

Again, wonderful food, and I just love the coffee!  So peaceful at late breakfast!  I almost always have the entire terrace to myself, feel like a king!  Sitting back with my coffee, thinking of the past days fun, and laughing inside at the thots of faces and friends and actions in just the couple days past, such heavenly fun!  I love it here!

Another clear skies day!  The same as every day!  Light blue, every where you look up, and a few shore birds floating by, some slight pumping required for them to keep on ‘plane’ so I figured in a little bit lighter day today.  I negotiated my way down to the center, thru the now some what well organized traffic flow.  Such a big festival!  So many tricked out rides, so many beautiful people, it’s like they are all movie stars or such!  Plenty of silicone in both girls and boys!  But what a sight for the people watcher in me!  Such a diverse array of fun beach party people!

The beach is not quite as thick as yesterday, and I man my chair at the Vela terrace, and view the amazing panorama of beach revelers, standing room only!  Fun to just sit and watch it all go by!  Thumpin tunes, free flow of beer and drinks, and people everywhere trying to show off their best, posing and primping, laughter everywhere!  Quite the trip!

I changed into the water wear, and made out thru it all for a photo session.  Some fun shots were had, but I had some fogging issues, and had to delete so many fuzzy ones!  Some really nice framing and such, but just painfull to look at!  Did still manage 10mb of postable shots, see them here.

Thank You Vela Staff!! For keeping our beloved path to the water passable!  Nice to have the personal bodyguards to clear a path for you going in or out!

I took out a 98lt again, but opted for a 5.7M, for some extra jump power!  I had another hour or so of total chop hoppin, wave riding, jibe turning good fun!  Such awesome rides in the first 40 mins, so fresh, right on it, and totally in the moment!  Best feeling ripping huge air, and actually pulling off a few sweet carving jibes!  Lovin it!  So few sailors out, the water was practically all mine!

The joints finally told me to stop, and I listened, as it was a bit hard to get upwind now, and I had my fill anyway.  I made my way back to the only sand you could now see at the beach, the ‘Vela Windsurf Access Corridor’!   It’s one of the few man-made structures visible from space you know!  So amazing to come in, and as you carry your board and sail out of the waters edge, Vela guys come out, disconnect the board for you, and then one takes the board, as the other guides you and your sail back thru the human mass, to the clear sand of the path to the center!  What service!  I was totally blown away!  THANKS AGAIN GUY’S!!

I hung around till close and then after some chatting and visits with others, I made ready for another dinner with friends.  The walk up the road to Casa Rita was so amazing!  Still packed with car after car, and some really tricked out jamming sound systems!  What a visual/audio stimulus of human party factor!  It looked like it would be the after party from a huge concert or such!  What a party!

I met up with some fellow Vela clients for a dinner at ‘Force 6’ for some chicken and such!  The beach party crowd was dispersing and we made our way to the restaurant.  We all had some fun reliving the fun from past days and years surfing, and soon had to leave as they were taking the tables away!  We opted to continue at Gabby’s.

The place was just getting started at midnight again, and the band was setting up as we arrived!  We have the timing down!  I mingled about with the friends from years past and some new ones as well!  Pool table was jamming, and soon the place started to hop to the tunes, and dancing commenced forthwith!  Plenty of fun shared by all!

I had been there for some time before I realized; ‘That’s LORENZO over there!”  I ran over and surprised him with the sudden hello and handshake!  His friend Andy had also made it!  We were happily shaking hands and back slapping each other!  They got here on standby!  So lucky for this time of the year, and during Sta Sem. No less!  Very fun partying with them again!  Plenty of fun for all, till like 2AM!  Good times!

Off to bed, get ready for more fun mannana!  Caio!
