Saturday March 19th
Another great start to the day! Awoke to the swaying palms, and singing birds. Love to wake up to that, instead of the BEEP! BEEP! Of the alarm!
Got out to breakfast, and had the favorite of eggs, and the usual spread of delicious foods! Love the breakfast here!
I made my way down to the center, and prepped for some pics and a ride! I got out for a nice photo session, to sample the wind and waves, and snap some bytes to memory. Photo Gallery here.
Then got out myself on a 6.4M again, and the same 105lt board as the past few days! Just love the consistency of the afternoon wind! Totally stoked session, plenty of jumps and jibes! Really fun to sail with all the folks on the water!
After a great day of sailing, the food is the next item on the list! I mingled about with some friends and we discussed the plans for refueling. Simona talked us into the BBQ buffet at Club Habana for the group dinner, and we all signed up! After a couple happy hour drinks, and some clean up at the room, we met at the club for dinner.
A good crowd turned out for the evening, and the Vela table was filled with hungry sailors, ready to feast! The spread of beef, chicken, and fish was huge! We chowed down, and were all very happy to have the copious amounts of food and drink! We did a good job of finishing both!
Happy and content, we decided to stop by Gabby’s on the way home, for some after dinner action. The place was busy, and we soon were chatting and making friends all around! The pool table was busy with players, the bar with patrons, and we had a blast mingling with the many types and nationalities of folks from all over the world!
David and I were soon arm-wrestling with a few other sailors, and just having a blast rooting for the home team! We both ended up with sore elbows, both winning and then finally losing a round! Good time had by all!
We made such good friends, they wanted to continue the party on to Kami Beach, but since it was already 2am, we thot it might be too late, as they close around 3. We managed to get away, and headed off to the snooze position, to make ready for tomorrow!
