Monday March 14^th

Hello all! Not really a report on the surf yet, just a blurb about the travel day. I had few travel issues and arrived only about an hour late. The plane in Caracas was in need of a tire change, so I was lucky enough to hear my name called, and to my surprise, Peter and Liani were sitting at a table in the terminal bar! I gladly sat down and joined them for some fresh Polar beer!

We chatted and complained about our delay over the drinks, and then after a Landing gear tire replacement, we were finally off to Porlamar. I had some email earlier from Tom that he might pick me up at the airport, if he was around after some biz in town. I expected him to be long gone, but he was pounding on the window as I arrived, screaming ‘Stumbilina!’ at me! I felt like a VIP, with my personal assistant picking me up at the airport! Too cool of Tom to come down and pick me up! Of course I did have a new laptop for him, which may have influenced his actions!

I had a pleasant ride to El Yaque, with a few libations on the way! We then made our way to my room at Casa Rita, to hand off the toys and other sundries. Of course we had to have some more drinks, and had a great time bs’ing, chatting about the trip and misc stuff. I finally ran Tom out with his new toys, and hit the hay. Tommorrow is gonna be a great day! Later!
