Another beautiful morning in El Yaque!  Had an awesome breakfast, and then rode the hammock, listening to some Bob Marley, ‘Three little birds, sit by my door step, singin’ sweet songs, of melodies pure and true, sayin’, this is my message to you hoo hoo.  Singin’ don’t worry, bout a thing, cause every little thing, gonna be alright!’  Another fantastic start to the day’s activities!

Got to the center, and was ready for some helmet cam!  I simply rigged up, and got Borg like with my techno-geek setup!  Some excellent looks from the folks on the beach!  I am somewhat of a sideshow walking out looking like a visitor from another planet!

I managed to get about 21 clips, but due to fogging problems, I could only post the three decent one’s below:

VIDEO CLIPS:

Good fun chasing the fellow sailors around on a 5.7m and the 272 JP!  Quite overpowered!

After a half hour or so of helmet cam, I came back in and rigged down to a 250 style, 99l.  This was absolutely perfect, and the inside rolling ramps were some tasty playground to pop some nice airs!  I managed one really sweet logo to mast high downwind floater right inside, and had some nice Whoo Hoos from a couple other sailors nearby!  Just loving the air ride!  When I came back, Alexi even commented it was a muy grande sulta!   It’s not a big jump unless someone sees ya!  And I have witnesses!

It was video happy hour this afternoon, and even though I mistakenly setup an appointment for massage at 6, I had to join in on the fun, and do the preliminary slide show of the last days pics!  Hard to see on the LCD in the sun, but after the short photo session, it was on to the videos!

Tom had shots from both Monday and today, and we were missing some of the excellent subjects of the videos in the crowd, as they had to go home already!  Lorenzo, you were the star of the jibe!  Perfectly planning, full on speed jibes, one after another, each looking exactly like the last!  Hard to tell if the tape hadn’t been rewound!  All hail the Jibe KING, LORENZO!  The show continued as I prepared for my massage and Thai Night tonight!  From what I heard, I was the brunt of some good humor from Tom, especially the helmet cam shots!

Maribell worked the last few days lactic acid out of the system, and nearly put me to sleep by the end!  Ahhhh, so relaxed!  I strolled out to the terrace, as it was nearly time to eat, and met up with plenty of new sailor-friends for some more slide show action before dinner!  Was great to see the smiles of each person as they saw the images of themselves captured on digital memory!  Tons of great photo subjects out there!

Thai night was another hit!  Some great food, drink, and friends to share stories!  We partied on, and finally finished our allotted rum, and then made plans for a stroll to Casa Rita for some requested preventative medicine, and what then ended up as almost an hour of continued partying; some shots, beer and conversation on the terrace.  What a blast!

We then made the stroll back down the hill, and the plans were for some chill out at Ipanema Café, but before we got there, we split up and most went off to bed, while I met up with some of the local crowd for some hammock rides and such, sipping water, and staring at the stars.  A very pleasant end to the day, before the meander home!
