Awoke to a breeze in the palms, and the birds singing, the same beautiful awakening each morning. Life is so peaceful here at Casa Rita! During breakfast, we discussed the somewhat cloudy conditions for the start to the day and whether this would be a brake on the wind, I was sure this was the typical developing heat low, and we would be on the short boards by afternoon.
We all had a scrumptious breakfast, and I had a fun table conversation with Peter and Carina about the positive attitude you need in life. They are in their 70’s, and still seizing the day, every day! I sure hope I am still sailing at Peter’s age!
The morning was lighter, and great for the beginners to play in, I remained in the hammock, watching the birds soar overhead, making lazy circles. This was a sign of the heat rising off the desert, a clue there might be wind for later!
Arrived at the center, and made ready for the day at the beach, positioned a beach chair in prime territory, and sat down to observe the action. After some discussion and relaxation, I noticed the wind coming up, and made way for another photo shoot.
Some good action on the water, as the wind was already 4.0-5.0 for the average sailor, and 5.0-5.7 for the bigger ones! Lots of good movement from everyone, some 380 pics, although the usual foggy problems demanded cutting the majority, here’s the link to the best:
I could
feel the wind on my back, and the breeze was trying to remove my hat! As soon as the card was full, I made way for
the beach, and some of my own rides. I
started around
Happy hour was full of fun, discussing the day’s rides, and how much fun it was today! All that sailed had big silly grins, ear to ear! The beer and Kaprinias were delicious, as usual, and the crowd dispersed as the sun set. It was time for a shower.
I was so relaxed after the shower; I fell asleep while uploading the day’s images! What a day! I was so tired; I skipped supper, and didn’t even miss it! More room for eggs at breakfast tomorrow! Habla con todos then!
