Awoke to the excellent environment of birds and palms, they were singing, but not as brilliantly as the previous day since Connie has finished her stay. After a last beautiful breakfast, it was time to say the sad goodbye. She would be going home to our lovable dogs, so at least that is worth looking forward to!
I slowly
composed the web pages for the last couple days, and finally got to the center
around
The fun with computers kept me busy, and I just didn’t feel like taking a 6.9m or 7.4m today. I did manage a hacky session, and this was perfect for some aerobic activity, sweating pretty heavy after a 5 person session! Just love to kick the bag around with a few other great players when the wind is light! Keeps the body young!
After the hacky, it was shower and massage time! It was a very relaxing way to end the daylight hours! Just feel so great after a visit to Mirabel! Not a tight muscle in the body!
I hung around the beach bar for a bit, chatting with some friends, and then made the move for some food. I met up with my friends the Canadians; Lorenzo, Bob, Cheryl, Michele, Kevin, Andy, and the Americans Reggie and Doug along with a new recruit, Ivor. We decided on the Atti restaurant, time for some pepper steak!
Superb food, great friends, and plenty of stories and jokes to swap about! We stuffed ourselves on the excellent beef, veggies, rice, salad, soup, and fries! Gotta love the consistency of the food there!
After the meal, we strolled on down to the Ipenema Chill out spot, to do some chillin! The atmosphere was amazing! Excellent decorations, ample comfortable seating, hammocks, smooth lounge music, and a small bar. All this on top of the Happy Surf hotel, beautiful view of the sky, excellent clear night as well, and the starts were out in full glory! Nice to sit in the hammock, order and sip your beer, while staring at the stars! We met up with the local crowd, Simona, Alexi, Fransisco, and many others, and other sailors/kiters from all around the world. Very nice hangout!
I was ready
for the walk home, and I dragged Ivor, Mike, and Stephano along, for some shots and beer at my place, as it
was the last day for Mike and Stephano. We hung out on the balcony, exchanging surf
stories and sipping beer under the stars.
Very pleasant end to the day, and we finally broke it up around
Since I was too busy to take any pictures today, I thought the tech heads out there might want to see the custom bracket, and shutter release I made for the Cannon waterproof cam case. Here are some small pics I took awhile back showing the case and my custom bracket I designed.
and a short video of it in action:
Much more
detail than most would want, but I know of some cold engineers back home in
Ciao!
