We woke to the birds and the song of the palm leaves.  So peaceful in the morning here!  The last full day of sailing for Connie, time to make the most of it!

She was to the water early, attacking the day with the first GPS run of the day!  It’s speed trial time again for Thursday and Friday, and Connie did an impressive initial run of 26.6MPH on the 5.9m and the 262cm Wizard!  She’s currently the leader of the women’s division!

I got down a little later and promised some shots of Alexi around 1:30, so I hit the water with Cannon in hand, and got a few decent ones before the lens fogged, and his lunch break was over.  I also filled in here and there with some of the Vela clients, and a shot of the beach:

Connie and I finished her last day with her on a 250 style board, and the 5.0, sailing with the speed demon Nancy, while I ran a speed run on the protect 261 and a 5.7m.  One run out, one run in, 31.6MPH!  I’m the leader!  Whooo Hoooo!  (I think I can go even faster!)

After the speed run, I continued ‘till closing with the same stuff, while Connie finally came in exhausted from her double sessions, and soothed the sore body with plenty of Kaparina’s!  The happy hour beach scene was illuminated from the beautiful women of windsurfing:

We all enjoyed standing on the beach, toes in the warm sand, sipping the local brew, and just chatting up a storm about the days ride.  Plenty of speed challenge gauntlets were thrown about, and will be tested in the next few days!  It was time, and we all got prepared for another Thai night!

The food was as delicious as always, and meeting the new folks that just got here, is always fun!  Plenty of food, drink, and new friends!  Another fantastic meal, and some of us continued the festivities on over to the Voodo Lounge.  Some beer and pool, and the night was done, time to go home.  A great last day and night for Connie, well done mi amore!
