Breakfast was awesome man!  So tasty! Super fruit again, and awesome juice!  Totally stoked as the sun is out baking the sand of the desert, cooking up some tasty wind for the afternoon!

I made plans to do some computing down at the center, finish up the web site for the 7th and such, and I made way for a morning of computational fun!

Tom and Kathy let me into the office, and I proceded with some web creation and the flash of the photo show from previous day’s fun to a few of the Vela clients!  Great to hear the feed back in Spanish, English, and Japanese!  I love this place for the full spread of surfers from the whole world!  So fun to sail and chat with everyone!

The Vela center office is sweet!  I can see the beach action, and the sailors on the water, so I know rite when to stop computing, and head to the water!

Tom shot some video from the AM to early afternoon session, while I did the web page, and he reported back the shots were great, and should have a show on Wednesday.  This is always fun, as the video is so descriptive, and you can see exactly what you did wrong, or right!  Not to mention, the audience reaction to same!  Great entertainment!

I setup the helmet cam and went out for a ride to see what kind of videos I might be able to get!  I have not yet mastered the squeeze bulb shutter release actuator, nor the design, as I was only able to get a couple shots, before knocking the pneumatic plunger apart with my sail.  Back to the drawing board!  Need some ‘Plunger reinforcement’ to protect the actuator from sail damage, sounds like a job for duct tape!

I did get a couple video shots of my plain old run in towards shore.   Nothing special, but shows the basic ride.  Check ‘em out:

Helmet Cam VIDEO:    (Larger print, as Ace had trouble finding the videos!)

These were taken using the 267 JP 99lt board, and a 5.9m sail, just enough to only shlogg 10-20%, and perfect for the remainder!  A bit under what I would normally take, but what a blast to slice and jump!  The gusts were not as major today, and the ride was muy suave!  Connie was on a 5.9m sail with a 262cm board, for the morning video session and a 5.0m sail and 250cm board for the afternoon.

After two hours or so of riding, I came in around 5 to get ready for the massage at 6.  After a shower at Casa Rita, I strolled down to the massage center, and walked in just as Connie was coming out.  She was all smiles from the lactic acid removal session, and offered to meet at the beach bar after I was done.

My session on the table was as fantastic as the session on the water!  What a feeling to loosen all the knots!  Maribel is an awesome masseuse!  I was fully enjoying the entire 50 min!

I came out to the very relaxed world of après massage, and chatted with Gerry at the bar, and met up with Andy, Connie, Kevin, Lorenzo, and Michele for some supper at the Terrace Restaurant.  Very scrumptious feastin’s for all, and we were all soon full and tired.

We then split up, and Andy, Lorenzo and I decided to do a beer walk about town for a bit.  We ended up opting for a little pool at Gaby’s Voodoo Lounge, met Doug on the way, and had the American team vs. the Canadian Team.  It was great to play and have the wind blow the balls around the table!  “Wind at night, means wind tomorrow.” As they say…

After the American team finally defeated the Canadian team at pool, we drank Polar’s to the best 5 out of 7, and made our way down the street to our hotels.  It’s almost midnight, and time for bed, have some sailing to do tomorrow!  See Ya!
