No rain this morning! Might blow hard today!
We pretty much had the terrace to ourselves for breakfast, lots of guests left in the past couple days. Sad to see new friends go home so soon!
Connie was on the water with a 267cm and the 5.9m when I got to the center. Talked with Tom and Kathy for awhile, and then finally got to the beach chair. Connie returned, and we had some ham and cheese sandwiches, before the afternoon session.
I was
waiting for the bigger wind around
I was ready to catch some of the now strong wind, and got a 267cm JP and the 5.9m sail. Connie joined in with a 4.7m and the 250 style. What an awesome session! It got super windy, and we were rockin! Ace and I joined Tom for a ride out in some of the biggest conditions I have yet sailed in this year! We had a survival surf session, and jumped ramp upon ramp, before returning exhausted! WOW was that windy or what! I was about a ½ to full meter overpowered for awhile! Tasty air fun!
After the fun, I returned to the center with my equipment, and finished off the afternoon with a little hack-sack, and a couple photos of a pelican that made one of the beach chairs home for the afternoon.
We were invited to go out to eat at Caney de Jimmy, the locals favorite BBQ chicken place, for supper, and gladly took the offer! I had been last year, and it was super cheap and delicious! We were salivating with anticipation! The food was amazing! The place was fun, and the price for 4 people, a ½ chicken each, 3 beers each, was about equiv. $10 US! What a great cheap date!
We finished the dinner and ride home, ready for bed. Can’t wait to see what Sunday will bring!
