After the
morning rain, the sun and winds kicked in, and the afternoon became the time to
ride! Connie went out around
There were plenty of folks to choose from, and shot again ‘till the camera was full! Some 10% were decent, and here they are:
After the photo shoot, I was thinking of joining the fray with a 6.9m and a bigger board, a bit light for the wind snob I am, so decided to play some hacky-sack instead. Fun time with the guys, then cooled down, & sat down for happy hour, to watch the locals again. Some good photo action-lots-o-tricks. Made some room in the camera memory, and shot some of the play.
The sun began to set, as we made our way home to get ready for the grand opening of Gaby’s Voodoo Lounge!
We arrived to the new well lit bar/entrance, and the Voodoo was already in effect, as the camera had trouble focusing while entering the fun field surrounding the place! (Note the ghostly images!)
Vela had a table ready for BBQ buffet, and those lucky folks that signed up, were treated to a feast of great food! Plenty of chicken, steak, sausages, potato salad, and rice&beans! Free rum and coke, or beers for drink, Emm Emmm good!
After stuffing ourselves, we ambled on over to the Lounge for some live music, drinks, pool and fun! The table works well, and we played and won, then played and lost. Tom and Kathy made it over, and we had fun chatting. Plenty of folks to visit and talk to, Mikey was back in town, and we had to reminisce about previous years fun and entertainment! The place was packed with every person I have ever seen in El Yaque! Great turnout!
As the
party started to break up, we finally went home. I had forgot to pay
my bill, so I ventured back to do so.
This resulted in some punishment, of continued drinking, pool, and
finally singing to the excellent sound system, jamming the Doors! Miguel and Jimbo
the expatriate owners, were pretty happy about the night, and we all hung out
talking about our common home state of
I went straight to sleep, dreams of more fun for tomorrow.
