Wednesday here in Margi was a great
time again! Woke to the awesome
breakfast at the terrace, and the breeze in
the morning was a taste of the stronger stuff we
would have later in the day!
After breakfast, I decided to take a
walk around Casa Rita, and give you all some photos of the beautiful garden
surrounding the hotel!
The plants have all grown so much in the last few years! It is now a fully tropical jungle all around
the building!
Check it out! I finally got to
the beach about
with a 5.7M sail and the Max-Air 262 (100 L)
board. I drank some water, suited up,
and hit the beach with a 280
powerglide,
and the 6.9M sail. This was just a
little overpowered, but very fun for speed and some jumps! We both had
a very good, very
tiring session. The first couple days
are tough on the body, until it gets used to the new workout!
Tired and happy, we ambled up to
Gerry’s bar for a couple beers and watched the late day kiters,
and surfers put on a show of jumps, and tricks.
Great entertainment while sitting at the beach table with a cold Polar
beer!
At near sunset, we walked back up to
Casa Rita, and made ready for supper at Da Rocco’s
for pizza. The wood fired oven, thin
crust pizza, was delish-i-oso! Love those carbs
after a hard day on the water!
We walked the length of town burn off
some of the pizza, and to see if there was anything going on at Gaby’s new bar
that was just built. Nothing yet at
We trekked home, did some Advil and
hit the sack. What a great day! My first rides and jumps of 2004! (On liquid water anyway!)
Wish you were here!
